Already during his industrial engineering studies, Thomas Pick (39) gained his first international experience in South Africa. Ever since, working abroad and his loyalty to the automotive industry has been part and parcel of his résumé.
He started his career in Sales at Dr. Schneider, shortly after he followed the company in the USA. After six years abroad and being self-employed, Thomas Pick worked, among others, for Johnson Controls, and lastly as a Sales Manager - responsible for the global account GM at the Woco group.
Since November 1, 2017, he has taken on the responsibility as a central function in the Sales Department as the Chief Sales Officer, responsible for the group Project Management and Sales activities at all three locations. “After having different positions domestically and abroad for the past 15 years, I wanted to go back to my home region. Once I had a chat with the General Management about the future strategy of the company I knew exactly that I can use my experience and implement my own ideas autonomously.”
The cosmopolitan Upper Franconian knows the requirements of the automotive industry like no one else: “The trend to shift the R&D competence and production depth externally offers many opportunities. Therefore we need to present ourselves as a global and strategic partner in the market.”
Regarding his team, he already has a specific plan. “To act even more international, we will connect our locations better in order to handle international projects more flexible and responsive.”
