Employees from the production department gathered at GAUDLITZ on the 30th of September, 2008, in order to officially launch the company´s new clean room technology. It is there, using this new technology in a controlled environment that medical and laboratory products are produced. The specially-trained workers who also wear special suits access the machines, which boast a clamping force of between 15 to 150 tons, by means of sluices.
For GAUDLITZ the intended investment represents the first step in this particular form of manufacturing technology. By the middle of 2009 GAUDLITZ will have upgraded the clean room to a class 8 clean room (formerly 100.000) in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644.1. This procedure and the equipment involved include exact monitoring and the corresponding data concerning particle counts as well as air conditioning. GAUDLITZ is now in a position to also supply customers in the field of medical engineering with individual articles, such as expendable items in the laboratory, and produce them in the production hall.
