At the end of August the medium-sized plastics manufacturer from Upper franconia was awarded the status of 'authorized economic operator' thanks to a succesful completed certification process. Among other things, the status of authorized economic operator enables companies throughout the EU to obtain authorizations for customs procedures of economic importance and other simple procedures in a straightforward process without the need for ongoing comprehensive inspections.
In so far the application of uniform standards for the granting of the status within the entire EU is of great importance. The granting of this status is linked to far-reaching preconditions with regard to reliability, the previous compliance with relevant legal regulations as well as meeting of certain safety standards.
